    Vassiliy Jirov 4/20/06!!

Vassiliy Jirov (35-3-1 30 KO's) will fight tomato can cruiserweight Luke Munsen. (18-4 13 KO's) Why should I be excited about this fight?

You should be excited because he is staying sharp by working these guys over. Inactivity can really hurt a fightert. Ofcourse you would have to be a Jirov fan to be excited.

Jirov never had that appeal that other fans, and he cant be an attraction without another big name.

I think that fight with Joe Mesi sapped anything that was left in him out.

It's not very common for a guy to move from cruiserweight to heavyweight, twice fight at over 220 lbs., and then decide that he was really better off in the cruiserweight division, and drop 20 lbs. or more. If Jirov does this successfully only then will it be notable. If he can't pound the heck out of Munsen and get him out of there quickly, something's wrong.

Jirov always give it his all in a fight, his fight with Toney is classic, he never gave up and held his own. I hope he get back in title contention and fights some of the champions at crusierweight.

i think, if he goes back to crusierweight, he has good chance of beating Bell. Does Bell has his 3 belts or did he vacate his IBF belt?

Jirov was never a fans fighter. He had his shots to be great and couldn't capitalize on them. He has lost to Joe Messi, James Toney and an old Micheal Moorer. Jirov is what 32-33 years old and if he going to make a stab at it he needs to do it now and against good boxers.
