    Link ?

The last report I heard from Loeffler is that Ward considered a catchweight for Golovkin.

    He can make 168.

How is that even relevant ?

Mayweather is a welter..... he did not fight at 154 for " money fights only "..... he fought and beat the best JMW on the planet.

Did Mayweather offer to fight any other middleweights, like Golovkin did to Froch/Chavez?

Mayweather and Golovkin have nothing in common.

        No, of course not.

Ward hasn't attempted to make other fights at LHW like GGG at SMW.

        Completely different situation.

Also, Team Ward have already discussed that fight with Main Events.

Duva admitted that she is genuinely excited about that fight, she admitted that the Ward camp were on-board, and she confirmed that the fight will definitely happen in the near future.

Also, Ward decided to fight at LHW at the 2004 Olympics..... that and signing to fight the best fighters at 168 in a knockout tourney proves that Ward is prepared to step up and challenge himself.

GGG has about as much in common with Ward as he does with Mayweather.

Someone like Ward is the one who had to come to him. Its that simple.
Right, Golovkin doesn't want to risk fighting Ward.

Nobody suggested that Golovkin move up to 168.

We are suggesting that if he is fighting at 168 anyway, as-was the case with Froch/Chavez, then he should sack-up and fight the best if he really is as good as his team have stated.

I do not blame him for not fighting Ward, I blame his team for talking shht.

Not only is Andre Ward a bad boy..... but he is genuine P4P fighter.

they're reduced to pretending weighting 170 on fight night is the same as weighing in at 170

This is true. However, in the last couple of years GGG stated that he never wanted anything to do with Ward when asked. He'd get nervous. People can find those vids on YouTube. It was K2 and Sanchez promoting their hype job on anyone at 154 or 168. This is why Lara and Ward opened their mouths in retaliation.

I see, so your theory is that any negotiating concession made for 1 fighter MUST also be made for every other fighter in the division or its a duck? Interesting.

Therefore, since Ward offered to go to 160 for Floyd, but refuses to for GGG, I guess thats a duck too?

Or was that simply an "aspirational statement" from Ward?

Different fights warrant different concessions. I thought you were smart enough to grasp that fact. My bad........

My position is, beating Ward at 168 would be more lucrative in the long term.

It would immediately install Golovkin as the best fighter on the planet and would turn him into a PPV star a lot quicker than beating Froch or Chavez.

The only difference is, they are willing to fight Chavez because they know that they can beat him. It is about risk/reward..... you have referred to the reward, but completely forgotten about the risk.

They would be far better off fighting Ward, IF they could beat him.
Ward is high risk, medium reward

I hate how boxing is more a business than a sport, but its how its being played. Youre right, beating a much bigger Ward would be a huge legacy win. Its a shame boxing isnt really like that anymore

GGG would be better off fighting Klitschko, if he could beat him

Theyre willing to fight Chavez/Froch for money. If Ward paid the same as Froch, we'd have probably seen the fight by now

Nowhere in your post explains why GGG has to fight Ward? You just want to see him lose to the bigger guy, much the same as those who called for Floyd to fight GGG. Before you bring up the 154-168 thing again, let me reiterate my sympathies for you falling for team GGG's hype. I hope you get over it soon
