A win for PBC?

Start thinking on terms of whats best for boxing not a fking network or a promoter. The sport itself needs the boost not these fkers. There will always be people ready, and willing to make money of athletes hard work.Comment

I think one of PBC's best cards this year. Both fights were very competitive and entertaining. The Spike commentating team can be annoying at times, doe*.

A lot of boxing fans do suck ass. If you won $200M in a lottery a boxing fan would just talk about all the taxes you gotta pay or how much of a dumb ass you are for playing the lotto with horrible odds in the first place.
I'm often curious why so many boxing fans are glass half empty on nearly all things boxing. Sometimes I think its just because boxing is kinda a horrific sport in reality & at its worst. Guys get changed for life & even die, but than I see MMA fans & they aren't kill joys at all. Maybe it'll just take another 50 years of MMA's harsh realities to kick in before they are *****ing about everything too.
As for as the win talk, I think PBC has strung together several W's lately & its not even really about the fights themselves.
The PBC fold is just getting bigger. Leija Battah seems to have recently become one of the in rotation PBC promoters. This puts a field of maybe 8 or so promotional teams PBC deals with. Thats gotta be more than anyone else deals with on a regular basis (even HBO). They have another TV deal that'll put more boxing on prime time national TV, stretching into at least the summer of 2016. And they seem to be working with Showtime more moving forward so anyone concerned with PBC's alleged money woes shouldn't be worried for much longer as supposedly Showtime is willing to burn money on Haymon's behalf upon demand. Things continue to be looking up for PBC. The only real negative or potential L, cuz you aren't gonna get boxing fans who hate PBC talking good about them during this decade whatever happens so thats a meaningless reality, is the Oscar & Bob lawsuits & what could happen with them.Last edited by Eff Pandas; 10-17-2015, 10:45 AM.Comment

I do take comfort in their being a day, sometime soon hopefully, where you can mute the commentators during sports without muting everything. How someone hasn't offered this or made it a reality yet is beyond me.Comment
I think they also said "in a cell phone case." I don't mind so much the silly analogies; I just think they talk too much during the fight
