WBA and IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) will take his first pay-per-view step on Saturday night, when he faces IBF champion David Lemieux (34-3, 31KOs) in the main event of a four fight HBO PPV card from a sold out Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The two biggest stars are leaving the building and Golovkin wants to be the guy to take the torch. A successful pay-per-view would go a long way in establishing that position.

He certainly has the audience, now it's all about convincing his detractors that's here more than they perceive. Getting through tomorrow in spectacular fashion is a step in the right direction, lineal up next is the more important one.

If they fought the cupcake schedule he fought by the time they were 33, they might still be on top of the game today. But great tactic you got there buddy.

Cotto and Canelo next. Move up to 168, KO Chunky, at that time Ward will be back at 168.

After Kovalev slays him and makes him a **** for 12 rounds (if he even lasts.)

Theres a reason chinny fighters go to Virgil, great at hugging.

This is the beauty of boxing when the top guys are no longer in the picture. The hungry guys will claw their ways to the top to fill that void. Good luck GGG because Lemieux, Canelo and others have the same goals in mind.

                    Wlad or Manny?

A victory over Smith (who lost twice to Abraham) isnt in the discussion.
