Comments Thread For: Lemieux: I'm Not Here To Play; I'm Here To Make History

David Lemieux remains brimming with confidence as fight night draws nearer. The middleweight titlist from Montreal is tasked with the most dangerous assignment in the division, as he faces unbeaten fellow titlist Gennady Golovkin this Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

This fight might go two rounds but it just depends on what Lemeiux does when he gets nailed in One

hope he puts up a good fight, but this is probably Canelo Kirkland II and Lemieux is not Canelo.

Despite Lemieux's punching prowess, it is possible that his best shot will not drop GGG, and if that transpires, it will be quite interesting to see David's response.

He has a chance. GGG has not really been tested. Why shouldn't he feel confident? I thought GGG looked easy to hit in his last fight. I hope he doesn't think he can fight like Jirov and win.

No amount of training in the world is going to firm up that china chin.

All he has is power, but GGG has more power, better skills and a better chin.

Its going to be lights out in the first four rounds for Lemieux. This fight is a joke, love how they are trying to build it up like it will be competitive at all. GGG vs a china chin.

They should give lemieux a towel, that way when he lands on the canvas he can atleast help clean it up while hes down there.

Discounting a very formidable opponent because it's a GGG opponent of course. If he was a Ward opponent (hypothetically speaking as a 168lber) you'd big him up.
