British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is going to wait one more week for a deal to get reached for a clash with Manny Pacquiao in early 2016.

If the two sides are unable to reach an agreement in a week's time, Khan will move forward with his plans to return on a date in December.

Khan wants to avoid his past mistakes, where he wasted a lot of time sitting around with a false hope of landing a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. That fight never came and Khan's activity level since 2013 has suffered.

The only analogies I can think of when I read about Khan are those containing women. Khan is like a chick who waits by the phone for a guy to call who's expressed lukewarm interest in her, but still she waits looking at the phone hoping against all hope her potential suitor will call, but in actuality he's moved on to a girl who's really hot.
