GGG needs to worry how to survive Lemieux first.

i don't like this fight, but it's nothing like Ward (GGG is willing to come down)

I don't like this fight, nothing to gain from beating Mayweather. It's about money, but it'd only prove that a MW like GGG was too much. (Which doesn't harm Floyd's legacy, because he already came up so many classes.)

      And Floyd's too old.

Mayweather is too small, so if he managed to catch the runner, he'd win on size advantage.

Now if Floyd wants a MW title, the only route worth a damn is GGG.

      But Floyd doesn't need it.

But GGG would be coming down to JR.MW for this fight, Ward, you all say meeting half way is ******.

      It's not the same.

He isn't exactly calling out Floyd. Not sending Floyd contracts and all. He was asked about it, what he suppose to say. Naw, I don't want to fight the biggest fight in the planet. Who doesn't hope to get Floyd. It's money.

GGG rehydrated to 170. Canelo rehydrated to 170-174. That last sentence makes no sense.

And I don't see a lot of GGG fans calling for this fight. I'm not.

      Who is cheering?

And Mayweather owns a JRMW belt.

How many SMW belts does GGG own?

And GGG is willing to come to 154 where Floyd owns belts.

Although, I think it's pointless to do so.

[QUOTE=big_james10;16134038]Golovkin is dreaming again. I can think of 10 fighters who have accomplished more in their careers and deserve a shot at Mayweather more than Golovkin.

If Mayweather comes back, it will be to fight a rematch against Pacquaio, Cotto or Alvarez -- the guys who can provided him with a $100 million payday or somewhere close to $100 million -- not some wannabe like Golovkin.[/QUOTE

Fighting any of those guys does nothing for him, except money.

If Floyd somehow got in front of GGG's mandatory to get the MW belt, it'd be meaningless. He already best both those guys, and neither is a true MW champion.

It will do money, but it would help his legacy.

I totally agree with your post, except that I think Floyd would be up for that challenge, maybe for September 2016. Floyd must have at least two more fights left in him. First, Pac, Cotto or Canelo in May 2016 at 154 (at a catchweight above 154 in Canelo's case). After that, this guy in September at 160 if he doesn't lose to some middleweight journeyman by then.

I'm sure Floyd can win this fight if he works his way up to the middleweight division by proper nutrition and training, gradually gaining weight. He should juice his way up to the linear middlewieght title if he wants. I don't give a ****!

I never believed the retirement thing either. I like Berto, a warrior, got paid, and can go ahead with what is left of his career. But this was not it for Floyd.

            Mayweather ain't no chicken!

Floyd is a different beast. That's money, big money.

And he is very concentrated on MW.

He was asked a question, and answered honestly.

Very few fighters would turn down a giant payday like that.

And I've never said 8 pounds was an advantage that I'm worried about. Actually said GGG would close that gap.

However, GGG would be coming down to fight Floyd where he owns a belt.

Let me know when Ward is coming down to 160.

Floyd winning MW title from two guys adamant they are not MW would be a farce. They'd be money fights, but they wouldn't mean much. Especially since he already beat both.

However, I don't think this is a fight Floyd takes.

A guy who may of sparred with GGG Kovalev has no reason to be fighting a 38 year old WW (even if it's at Jr.MW).
