Alexander will never be a top welterweight. If he wants to win and be respectable against B fighters he needs a new trainer and renewed dedication.

Fair play to Martinez, he should now have wins over Guerrero and Alexander.

I was looking at the online bookies last night and noticed Martinez had long odds. I should of put a bet on then as i fancied Martinez to win.
Devon looks worse with each fight thatb goes by. Even at his best he was overrated.

Don't forget that his resume is also now a lot more impressive than Bertos as well.

Sucks to see for Devon. Seems like a good guy, but clearly on the downslope at this point in his career. He's only 28 and doesn't mean he's "done". But may need a different type of resurgence at some point in his career. Back down to 140? up to 154? A string of softer opposition to where he can win another title vs a 147lb champion in a few years?

If you've been a fan of boxing for more than 1 year, you know that a lot can change for a fighter to where they get a bit of a "second wind" in their career. He may be faltering at 28 year old right now, but could easily resurge at 30 or 33 or 36 if in with the right opponents or the right opportunity.

Don't completely write him off unless he starts taking actually stoppage losses like Vivian Harris.

Wow, I didn't get to watch the fight. This was the last headline I was expecting to read this morning lmao

The books been out on Devon. Make a rough, borderline dirty fight, come in leading with your head, and he checks out.

Isnt it funny how boxing works like that. Look at Martinez and Chavez(brooks upcoming)& the oppurtunities theyve got...and look at Brook, a solid fighter who cant get a decent NAME to face
