When I read a line like this in an article...
It is extremely difficult to give a crap about anything else the author has to say because he obviously knows very little about the MW title situation and probably just as little about the sport in general. GGG wishes that the IBF title was the only one he did not hold, but there are TWO OTHER TITLES besides that one that he is looking to win down the line.Lemieux's IBF middleweight belt is the only one Golovkin does not own and unification is a priority for the Ukraine fighterComment

I must have a different grading system but Stevens is worse than B-level.Are you like kidding me? The B level fighter Stevens more dangerous than Lemieux? You mean Stevens who was utterly outclassed and even knocked down by N'Dam - who Lemieux knocked down 4 times - and the same Stevens who was outboxed recently by Rosado whom Lemieux destroyed. It does NOT bode well for GGG. I believe that Lemieux will shock GGG.Comment

Stevens is more dangerous to somebody like Lemeiux... Stevens's bread and butter was that counter left... he'll sit forever to try and set that up. If Lemieux doesn't blast him out,/smother, he runs the risk of getting caught.
To GGG, they're both getting smashedComment

I think Team Golovkin considered Stevens a more devastating puncher than Lemieux. He gave way a few times when Stevens backed him up. The problem for Stevens was he nevered mounted an attack after backing Golovkin up. Lemieux has to stay on the attack. If he starts to wilt like he did against Rubio it will be a short night. Lemieux also keeps his hand very low (unlike Stevens) which leaves him open to a lot of head shots. People who thinks Lemieux is a different fighter than when he fought Rubio is flat out wrong. He beat guys he was supposed to beat. In this case, he is supposed to lose to Golovkin and he will.Comment

Stevens also said he'd be both the first to drop and eventually stop GGG.
He is not saying Stevens is better than Lemieux, only that he had more power! therefore more dangerous. At least that's what I think he means, overall, with all he has said about Stevens and this fight.
If Lemieux's only chance relies on power, then he is in trouble. Because Stevens was a hard puncher.
Since the GGG fight he hasn't been ****.
We'll see if he doesn't quit. Most talk tough going into a GGG fight, some have waved it over before they got snuffed out. Other got KO fast.Sanchez has been saying some ****** things as of late. Stevens is NOT a bigger threat than DL. DL will NOT quit! Stevens is a mental midget. Based on what, is he a bigger threat than DL. DL knocks people the "F" out! If GGG has just one moment where he gets "bored" or "lets" DL hit me, HE AIN'T GETTING UP! Shut up Sanchez!!!!!
No one in a long time has made it through the the entire fight.
He'll, some like Canelo and Cotto, they won't even try. It's not that their highly ranked MW fighting for a Belt.
Comparing fights like that doesn't work. Are you like kidding me? The B level fighter Stevens more dangerous than Lemieux? You mean Stevens who was utterly outclassed and even knocked down by N'Dam - who Lemieux knocked down 4 times - and the same Stevens who was outboxed recently by Rosado whom Lemieux destroyed. GGG best Rosado in how many rounds?
What about Rubio?
By that logic, GGG should walk through Lemieux.
Not now, but when they fought he was one of the biggest punchers around. He had a nice little rep going. He hadn't been as successful as Lemieux, but that doesn't mean he wasn't more powerful.
If I remember, he was sounding awfully a lot like Lemieux in the build up to that fight.

Stevens is a hard puncher with pretty fast hands, but he has a very limited range. He wears cement shoes and does not have the ability to press an attack. If he had good legs on him, he could be so much more successful.
Lemieux will use his legs, his feet are 10 times faster, so he can mount an attack. Having success doing it is another question as he is so friggen wild.Comment

he was supposed to beat rubio and alcine too but he didn't. he's clearly different because in those fights he faded and never got back into the fight. in his last 2 fights he was able to maintain his stamina and power late into the fight.I think Team Golovkin considered Stevens a more devastating puncher than Lemieux. He gave way a few times when Stevens backed him up. The problem for Stevens was he nevered mounted an attack after backing Golovkin up. Lemieux has to stay on the attack.
