I am sure that, in the history of boxing, there have always been fighters (or promoters) who have refused to fight others in and around their weight class. In my lifetime, I can remember that Oscar De La Hoya refused to fight Azuma Nelson and Winky Wright. Sugar Ray Leonard refused to fight Aaron Pryor. Mike Tyson refused to fight George Foreman. Shane Mosley refused to fight Mayweather at 135 and Hatton refused to fight Mayweather at 140.

However, I have never seen a time when there were so many fighters who claim to be great or want to be great who refused to fight other quality fighters. No one in the welterweight division other than Mayweather and Pacquaio are willing to fight each other. Golovkin wants to fight smaller fighters and is willing to fight anyone at 168.....except Andre Ward. The top contenders at 175 refuse to fight each other. And then, we have this clown Wilder, who talks more trash that Mayweather and Broner combined, calling out everybody and his brother but never fights an opponent with a pulse.

This is sickening! Wilder should just STFU until he actually steps into the ring with an opponent who wasn't driving a cab the week before the fight.

I have a higher opinion of Wilder than most on the board....but joshua would knock him out now, possibly early. He is the real deal.

Wilder won't fight Joshua for as long as he lives.

Yeah, Wilder doesn't even want to fight Povetkin. It won't be until 2017 or 18 before he fights Joshua, if he's even still around.

Dillian Whyte won't last more than 4 rounds.

When the other heavyweights see what happens to Whyte, they'll duck Joshua.
