  • Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux's November Fight Being Finalized, Says Caribe

Miami-based promoters Caribe Promotions are in the process of finalizing a November fight for World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux. The two-time Olympic gold medal winner was recently threatened by the WBO with the possibility of losing his title due to inactivity. Rigondeaux is also the WBA's "super" world champion at the weight limit.

November fight? I hope he's in shape. That's right around the corner. I think the only reason he got knocked down in his last fight was that he took it on short notice. Just like he's taking this one on short notice. He's bound to be rusty.

I wonder how much Rigo earns after Caribe have taken their chunk for 'managing' his career.

They are ***ing over Rigo! A title defense with just 2 weeks preparation?? What kind of garbage management does that to a fighter??? Rigo has the capability of beating everyone around his weight class and slowly he ages having made no real money in the last couple years. How the hell does he survive on the money he makes?

Announced late but he's always keeping in shape. Even showed early this year, when he's still been doing nothing, that he's been keeping in shape and training.

Same as the Berto fight... announced late but they knew way in advance what'd happen
