Comments Thread For: Marquez To Keep Close Eye on Bradley vs. Rios

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, former four division world champion Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) has basically ruled out the idea of fighting in 2015.

There was talk of Marquez potentially coming back in December, but he dismissed that possibility during a press conference which took place on the premises of the Professional Boxing Commission of Mexico City.

By that it means he'll heavily target Rios if he wins

Marquez v. Rios would be epic = PEDs v. PEDs...

Doubt Marquez is interested in fighting Bradley again...with random-testing he looked pretty ordinary at WW.. got schooled...

And of course the WBO will let him skip right ahead in line for an immediate title shot without fighting in over a year.

All organizations do that. It's called a voluntary. There's usually more merit involved than just the rankings for voluntary. He is the WBO International Welterweight champ.

              It's called Top Rank BS.

Bradley vs. Vargas for the vacant WBO title? Then he gets to defend it against Rios and Marquez? Every WBO fight is a voluntary. Just call the WBO title holder the Top Rank champion.

No, I completely understand that it's favouritism for sure and I'm not defending it.

Now tell me where I'm wrong in where I said that all 4 organizations have allowed voluntary defenses like this.

Pee-Drinker Marquez Looking For The Weakest Link To ANY Belt at 147!

Wouldn't fight Brook. Was called out by Porter when he had the belt, but said no to Porter. Wouldn't extend one rematch to Manny for a shot at Pac's title when he had it, after Manny extended 4 fights to JMM. Wouldn't fight Provodnikov at 140 or 147, when he held the 140 title. He's hoping Bradley beats Rios cause he wants a shot with a guy he thinks can't hit hard enough to hurt him. If Rios would beat Bradley (and he won't) Marquez would never fight Rios for the belt and would just retire.

You're not wrong. All 4 sanctioning bodies are garbage.
