Why is boxingscene so obsessed with Amir Khan?

Every fighter is in constant negotiations with everyone else. BS reports it every time Khan coughs or scratches himself. He casually speculates that he might fight ___ in one or two interviews and we get 6 weeks of headlines.

Do the articles get really heavy traffic from Islamic countries or something? Is he more of a superstar in the UK than the trendy Brook fans on here lead us to believe? What's the deal?

Khan isn't even a factor in boxing so why all the Khan comments and articles. Khan has no fan base outside of the fanatics and radicals that blow up little kids and woman and themselves.
