I hear guys calling for fighters to move up all the time, but thats not really how boxing works. Every fighter has their best weight, and it does make a difference.
We can see that today without same-day weighins when certain guys drain themselves, sometimes they are actually a better fighter in the division above..... we can also see that with the catchweight manipulation that goes on.
But if a fighter is dominating his division, and if he is ready willing and able to fight certain guys in the division above, and if he really is great..... then why wouldnt he want to fight the best?
