Golovkin is bucking the trend by staying active. Fans should be embracing that.
lightweight?? was floyds 2nd division and his 2nd lineal title..no way can you copmpare that...Floyd had beaten Corrales ,Hernedez,Manfredy and Cstillo.......GGG is just now fighting his first world champion in his entire career.point is GGG HAS to do it because his resume is toilet paper thin

Him fighting 3-4 times a year is great..as long as he is fighting top contenders or world champions...

Depends on comp though. Cant give us his usual showcase fight after a PPV. No going back for him.

And i do embrace more boxing and fighters fighting more but usually am met with nasty comments and red K after Red K. (Though i like it cause it goes with my Hallowen dark Avi)

So lets see who he fights

truth be told i knew he was going to continue to fight 3 times a year, so that was an argument i kept when i said how do u not fit a p4p fight with ward inthat equation...and it really doesnt matter wat ward is doing right now, bc im sure he's doing more than tureano johnson...but w/e

Golovkin is no spring chicken, he will want to take advantage of any potential PPV fights on the horizon..... and with no marquee opponents at 160 he will need to go for defences if he wants to leave a mark on the sport.

            Good news for us.
wont be good news if they swtart throwing him on ppv against just anyone..

Golovkin is arguably on the elite level (at least in his division) now and will be fighting 3-4 times a year. And my earlier post made the comparison based on the number of fights per year, not necessarily the caliber of opponent. It's nice to see a popular high profile fighter like Golovkin fight so frequently - that's the point. With other high profile fighters, you don't see that. And Golovkin should be applauded for it.

we as fans aren't content with guys unless they're using their time to fight champions, mandatories, or high ranked (top 10) fighters, so unless he's fighting those kinds of guys, its really unacceptable to be honest. and this goes for every boxer, so mr ward, you need to be fighting a top 10 LHW if your move to 175 is next.

Wilder is getting shat on for his recent level of opposition, and rightly so. No one is praising him for staying so active.

The same standards should apply to Golovkin.
