Comments Thread For: Lemieux: I'm Ready For Golovkin, It's Now or Never

David Lemieux is confident he can stun boxing by taking out Gennady Golovkin when the pair meet this weekend.

The knockout specialists each go into their New York fight with a version of the world middleweight title, and the winner will walk away with the IBF, IBO and WBA belts.

Lemieux is a 7/1 outsider with Sky Bet to end Golovkin's unbeaten record, and the Kazakh was last taken the distance more than seven years ago.

I can agree that he's probably as ready as he ever will be. After this one, I'm not so sure he can get back to where he is now.

That's a good point. Come to think of it, he's done this like 3-4 times already. He must have to convince himself.

I admire the fact that Lemieux has no fear, i mean he isn't getting pay millions and millions for this fight, he will probably lose this one and by KO. But check this for a moment. The guy is good looking (no ****) he can fight, he can punch, he has a belt. He couldof take the Quillin, Garcia and all thos fighters at PBC road, fighting bumbs making title defenses and becoming a star out of that. But he instead took on the extraordinaire GGG in his first title defense. I got to admire that, what if GBP has gamble big and wins the lottery? which probably won't happen, but i admire David for what he has done, i saw no fear in him during the HBO faceoff

Golovkin is going to surprise us and box Lemieux ears off.

I have a feeling that GGG can pretty much do anything he wants in this fight other than leave his chin out to dry.

That's kinda how I feel about the fight. As a GGG fan I'm curious to see how he responds after being cracked or dazed by a guy with good power.

I respect Lemieux but don't give him more than a puncher's chance in this fight. GGG is a good body puncher and will probably invest in going to the body early to sap Lemieux's power in the later rounds. I think it will be business as usual for GGG if Lemieux can't get to him in the first three or four rounds.
