Cheers my friendI agree with you sir. To me pure boxing is just like you said. Someone who can do it all. Be able to hit and not get hit, be able to slug it out, be able to infight, be able to keep it on the outside, be able to utilitize defense, be able to be offensive. Just be able to do it all. Not just Hit and not be hit.
I guess ill green K you since you are asking to be.Comment

So do I and ofc, such a fighter can't do everything in equal measure but every one of those attributes has to be world class. So, currently, Pacquiao very easily tops the list but you can't go wrong with Bradley or Cotto either.
People may be surprised with no names like Wlad or Mayweather (Retired now anyway) but in my eyes, they aren't "pure boxers", they are exceptional defensive fighters.Comment

To me a "pure boxer" is someone who boxes on their toes from the outside whenever possible. Although I'd argue they have to be orthodox to be considered a "pure boxer" I'd say Lara is probably the best example of what I'd consider a pure boxer.Comment

I think some people are misinterpreting the meaning of pure as some type of positive adjective rather than simply meaning unadulterated in form.Comment

Nonito donaire. He can box he can brawl he can counter he's pretty good defensively etc.
But I don't really think that counts as a pure boxer more like a jack of all trades. Pure boxers are more like Mayweather, Whitaker, Rigo, Lara, Martinez, Dawson, klitschko.Comment
