Why would Wlad and Vitali need to rehydrate with an IV? They don't have to make weight. They are heavyweights. They can drink all the fluids they want without worry of coming in overweight because heavyweights have no weight limits.

IV? I never talked about the IV. I just mentioned the fact that he lies with the fight night weight.

Explain why he is the only fighter that refuses to give the fight night weight.

While this thread is indeed ******, that isn't the reason he would use an IV. He wouldn't use an IV to bulk up, he would use it to get back to normal weight after dehydrating himself to make weight. Not saying that's what happened, but that's why he would use it.

Little news for you. USADA approved the TUE. The IV was saline and vitamin C. Both substances were not banned fyi...

Like I said, I'm not saying he did use it to re-hydrate. I'm just saying that's what someone would use it for, not for bulking up. Besides whether or not the IV was legal has no baring on why it was used.

Rehydrating has nothing to do with trying to get back to a desired weight. It's about staving off dehydration. It isn't rocket science.

Of course, but someone who's dehydrated will way less. Why else would some fighters dehydrate to make weight? So the inverse is also true, hydrating will increase your weight. It doesn't increase it beyond its normal capacity. Just back to normal after being drained to make weight.
