Going to West Palm Beach FL this weekend and don't want to miss the GGG fight. Do you guys know where I can watch the fight? Also, depending on the odds, I wanted to place a bet on Viloria vs Gonzales. What is a reliable betting site to do this on? I used one previously but wasn't too impressed.
Two question thread: PPV showings in FL and online betting sites

Ever think of doing something like a search for 'Best sports bars in West Palm Beach?' Amazing what you may come up with! Chances are that every one of these will be carrying the fight.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a pretty reliable chain bar for fights, I dunno about FL but that's usually the place I hit up if I'm out of town.Comment

I don't know what Florida is like, but here in Montreal most EVERY sports bar carries most EVERY PPV event, whether it's boxing or UFC or WWE. And no bar ever has a cover charge to get in.
Take note of the places that interest you and once you get in to town, give them a call and ask them if they will have the fight on.Comment

In the US things are quite different. Few bars across the country will be buying the fight. And it's just a lack of popularity thing. GGG isn't a big enough name for most of them to buy the fight. Then on top of that, most sports bars are clueless about boxing. I've hardly seen any bars carrying PPV fights that weren't headlined by Mayweather or Pacquiao.
And pretty much 95% of those bars all charged covers. And it wasn't even cheap, we are talking at least $20 bucks a head.Comment

Honestly, your best bet is to either buy the fight while you're there, or find a stream. It's going to be very difficult, if not hopeless, finding a bar there that is carrying it.Going to West Palm Beach FL this weekend and don't want to miss the GGG fight. There are a lot of Quebecers in Florida and Lemieux is from Montreal. Find a bar that caters to Quebec tourists and you will find a bar with the fight on.
And I think it is pretty sad to have to pay a cover charge to watch a fight in a bar in the US. Talk about nickel and diming customers to death. Sports bars in Montreal cover everything from rugby and soccer to F1 and baseball and hockey and football and ... well you name it, there will be a screen showing it in a Montreal sports bar.Last edited by Barcham; 10-11-2015, 02:42 PM.Comment
