Comments Thread For: Andy Lee-Billy Joe Saunders Set For December 19th

WBO World Middleweight Champion Andy Lee and challenger Billy Joe Saunders will finally collide at the Manchester Arena on Saturday 19th December in a Christmas extravaganza.

The premier 160lb fighters are raring to get in the ring and decide who is the best after seeing two previous postponements of their fight - Lee with a viral infection and Saunders with a cut eye - and both are promising to close the year with an explosive ending, live and exclusive on BoxNation. Well sure, but I'm just staying positive for this one. There's been enough disappointment already.

They've been negotiating this fight for the longest time, finally.

Andy Lee has been vocal about Golovkin being a test and a good match-up so I hope he wins plus that'll be another boxing-slug fest.

So, by the end of 2015, we should have the following results:

                Golovkin/Lem
                Cotto/Canelo
                Quillin/Jacobs
                Lee/BJS

Add to that a rising star such as Jr who may be in for a big name in 2016 and the MW division may really become live.

Ofc, the winner of all these fights will have to fight each other and somehow I think Jacobs/Quillin will just keep defending their paper title against paper challengers but Lee/Lem/BJS/GGG all make for a good mix.

GGG is likely to unify with Lee while Cotto continues to not be a middleweight with a middleweight title, defending it against non-middleweight "contenders".

Quillin already talking bout moving up after Jacobs fight, Saunders already on record saying he won't fight Golovkin until he see he slowing down we already know the cotto/canelo situation so hopefully lee wins he only seems to be interested in fighting little g
