No. Everyone is going to use it before their guy is going to get KOed.

I don't like the idea. I don't see any need for it. Sometimes a boxer waits all fight to get his rival in trouble and set him up for a KO. Then his rival takes a time out to get out of trouble? I don't like that at all.Comment

SMH, idiots on here saying 'rules are rules'.
You people do realize that these rules are just arbitrary, right? They are changed depending on which commission oversees the fight.
I wish open scoring was mandatory on all fights AND corners could get to challenge a point deduction with instant replay in between rounds (e.g. close calls re: gloves touching canvas, head butts, rabbit punches, low blows, etc...).
Anyway, new rules are on the way regardless--as with all things, change is inevitable.Comment

Awful idea. Letting fighters or cornermen call a 'timeout' would disrupt the flow and tempo of the fight and might cause fighters to take more punishment. If a fighter is taking a beating and you give him extra time to recover then it is possible that the fighter will be able to withstand more punishment than if the fight played out naturally. It's a safety issue for me and I say "no"Comment

Fighters should also have the option to make their opponents wear weight vests for one round to slow them down. This would've helped Pac against Mayweather.
