Waiting for the College Football Season to End before they roll out bigger match ups clearly. Going head to head with College Football is not wise. Notre Dame vs Clemson Football game CRUSHED Matthyss vs Postol and Broner vs Kabib. Also ESPN can't show boxing during the College Football Season because their schedule is too full which is why fighters are back on Showtime during this time. PBC will pick up again I'm sure. It is a lot of Saturdays in a year to show boxing without having to go against a Power House like College Football.

        I remember when
        • Espinoza was going to get fired
        • When the Mayweather deal was going to put Showtime in the red
        • When Haymon was really a drug dealer
        • When Pacquiao was really the A-side

Now it's Haymon presented no real plan except waste money but these gullible suits gave him $400m anyway and are sitting on the sidelines watching him waste it
Most business ventures start out with a "three year plan" which is usually just enough time to make some dough and cash out.

No, most businesses aren't looking to close down shop in three years, they're looking to begin turning profit in that time.

That doesn't mean they are dumping money in a hole for three years, startups usually don't make a profit until a few years, but they are generally making money but it takes a while to break even. If the talk about the free tickets is true, combined with the generally underwhelming ratings and ridiculous purses they are just losing money.

Which is why they gave him more than he asked for with a greater window. Projections change quarter to quarter. But posters can keep dreaming.

This is 100% true same thing for that Fear The Walking Dead Series they were on Sunday @ 9 pm during the same time Ray Donovan was running on Showtime and ESPN Sunday night football started as well. Their rating dropped because look at the competition in those time slots? PBC will pick up after New Years Feb - March will have some good match ups I bet than once March madness starts it will slow again and you will see more fights on HBO and Showtime.

True story!!! The idea of PBC is to get fighters air time on national TV that wouldn't normally be seen by homes that can't afford subscriptions to HBO and Showtime never mind TBE PPV events with that $79.99 price tag to watch to guys dance. Just saying.....

Then again, what they're paying to DeGale ($3.5mill) is insane.
That's Bute luring DeGale to Montreal where there is a lot of money to be made.

Otherwise, a horsed face Brit with a disgusting ****** London accent aint getting that much to fight in N. America.

It was obvious PBC was going to fail. You can't just put up the same subpar fights and expect to make the same money as on HBO or Sho.

Haymon could've made it work. All he had to do is tell the refs, there is a strict anti clinching policy, they should deduct points. All of a sudden you have all action affairs.

With this one change in rules, you'd also make inside fighters like Porter into big stars. Porter would've whooped Brook, if Brook wasn't clinching for 80% of the fight.

Porter Brook was legit one of the biggest clinchfests of all time.

I've seen a couple of guys at companies tht I worked at who are brought in to be "game changers" and you can see right through their bullshit in 15 minutes. They talk a big game, collect a big check and when asked where the results are there is always a "things take time" line somewhere in the excuse along with a vision for the future. When the bosses finally get tired of the excuses and cut them loose, these dudes have made a fat stack of cash and are on to the next gig. The only difference is that Hymen has no direct boss, only financiers who will eventually hit the e-stop on the money train but by that time, dude has made a 100 mill and could care less.
