I can think of three off the top of my head, especially after this weekend. I'm talking about fighters that are trapped in a weight class that is also between weight classes in which they cannot be successful.
1) Cory Spinks - already destroyed by Judah at 147, obviously can't make 140 (who would want to with Cotto waiting to kick your ass?) and will get crushed by the big boys and even superior boxers at 154. Sure, he "beat" Mayorga, but I thought he got a lot of calls his way, including unnecessary point deductions toward Mayorga and at least two missed knockdown calls. Spinks would get crushed by Mayweather, Hatton, Margarito, even Judah again at 147. At 154, he gets crushed by guys like Ouma, Karmazin, Forrest, and Quartey. Spinks has nowhere to go but retirement, I think.
2) Jeff Lacy - completely destroyed by the best fighter in his division albeit one of the best p4p guys in the sport. Lacy showed no promise in his fight against Calzaghe as well as an inability to make in-fight adjustments. I think Kessler handles him much the same way. He can't go to 175 or he'll probably be buried by Antonio Tarver. Lacy can stick around because he's young and in a division of mostly strangers, but one more bad loss like that and he's in trouble career-wise.
3) Zab Judah - Do I even need to go there? Knockouts await him at 140 (Cotto), 147 (Hatton, Margarito), and 154
