  • Comments Thread For: DeGale: Eubank Jr. a D*ckhead, Needs To Shut Mouth

IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale has dismissed suggestions that he is concerned about rival Chris Eubank Jr. joining him under the Matchroom Sport promotional banner.

The two have a history after falling out following a sparring session in 2012, when they were both promoted by Mick Hennessy, but despite a potential conflict of interest for Matchroom since Eubank Jr. became its latest recruit, DeGale insists he does not see him as a possible future opponent.

degale is right..eubank brings no win, but the hype he has or had over there is real..he brings a crowd and good promotion...there is not much reason not to go ahead and beat him...he actually might be a bigger draw than degale as of now..

i'd love to see that sparring footage btw

like to see eubank against bigger chudinov. I think eubank is flawed in a way, he looks for single power shots, and thats not going to be enough at top level.

I can agree to an extent, Degale wouldnt get much credit for beating Jr...right now bcuz of his lack of top level wins. For the life of me i just cant understand why some fans(khantrrds especially) can NOT grasp that concept of what makes a good win; who have they beaten. To be fair i didnt expect this fight to happen at least for awhile considering where theyre at in the respective careers, Jr being a MW contender and Degale being a legit titlist, so no disappointments here. But that attitude Degale has prevents great matches from being made and is more counter-productive if anything.

DeGale's right, he's on a different level to Eubank. If they fought, it wouldn't even be close to competitive.

As of now yeah, I like Eubank Jr but he's sloppy and gets hit too much. He needs to work on that but he's a tremendous athlete.

Styles make fights and one thing I'm sold on is that Eubank Jr has a good chin on him that and his work-rate is incredible I'd say he is the greater athlete out of DeGale and I don't think their is much between the two in terms of boxing ability.
Would love to see them fight it would be entertaining.

The Eubanks trying to pull a Lara

problem is, it would end pretty much same way, with him losing.

They tried to yap into GGG fight too.

Boxing is about levels. Eubanks might not like to hear it, but he has BJS problems. Eubanks has the latent potential to beat BJS. If he can fulfil his potential and beat BJS, he can maybe then go onto Groves. Groves because Groves is in the habit of losing, which would give Eubanks a chance to win. And from then he can go for Degale.

But even I remember reading Eubanks claiming he battered Degale in sparring. So maybe they have to say things like that to get themselves noticed and be someone, becauase Eubank was even more unknown when he was making those claims, he hadn't even fought BJS or even Joe Bloggs yet.
