Glad it's at 147. He should NEVER try to get down to 140 again.

Screw U... Frankie is the future king @ 147lbs division. Like Freedie said kid would whoop Khan's @ss right now. Frankie just needs to be more active and fight at 147 not 140 his power will carry over...

do you know anything about gomez' career?

he wanted to quit boxing after his first big contract was up with GBP. i used to hear guys on west coast radio shows talk about how he was totally unmotivated to fight. his recent behavior clearly demonstrates that.

humberto soto has had 70 fights. he's been in wars. he doesn't have many training camps left, and frankie gomez wasted one of them.

I think you're the one that doesn't know much... Frankie was born and raised in East Los Angeles, one of the toughest neighborhood in the country. He's a product of his environment for him to make it as far as he has is a testament to his resolve. Has Frankie made some bad choices in life? Of course but so has Floyd as well as many other fighters. I agree he missed a golden opportunity to fight on the Canelo undercard for missing weight but is something he'll learn from and make him grow up sooner than later. Just don't count out the guy before he's even started.

Frankie Gomez is extremely talented. He's young and immature but hopefully missing weight and getting yanked from a big fight was the wake up call he needed. As long as he stays focused and in the gym sky is the limit.

                    Fat boy Frankie is back.
Keep him away from the buffets and he should be ready to go.
