GGG has stated he will fight Froch at 168 in England because Froch brings huge sellout crowds (sold a 60k stadium within an hour). Froch was clearly A side to GGG, and getting a fight with Froch would have been great for GGG, even if he has jump a whole weight class. It's same reason he offered to fight Mayweather.

GGG fighting Chavez at any weight is a misunderstanding. It stems from a 2012 proclamation by Loeffler that GGG will fight anyone 154-168. However in a May 2015 interview, GGG has stated that he has no interest in fighting Chavez Jr because he brings nothing to his table... basically putting him in same boat as Ward (good fighter, does nothing for my career.)

As for catchweights, why should GGG have to jump 8 pounds into someone else's weight class when that someone has NOTHING that he wants? The question should not be why can't GGG go up 8, it should be why can't Ward trim 4.
164 is not a "catchweight" the same way Cotto uses them. 164 is the middle ground between fighters of 2 weight classes.

The only people who are talking **** about Golovkin are Ward fans & Golovkin haters. Ward has been and continues to be virtually inactive for so long, we need to see a vid from 3 years ago to see him @ his best. Add to that the fact that he signed with Jay-Z, and one has to ask, where is Ward's career going? Surely, Golovkin isn't the only potential opponent for him. Get off the GGG hate train fellas, & start asking Ward when he's going to really get back in the game.

If you were Ward, ask yourself what you would do to make the fight happen? (Assuming you really want it.) You won't see that in Ward doe. Accept it.

Always remember this. No one can stop a guy with stature like Ward from fighting anyone he wants to. No one.

At this point in time, neither. I have no interest in seeing GGG fight anyone who is not holding a middleweight title belt. Once he has unified the division, his place in boxing history will be secure and GGG should fight whoever brings the most to the table.

Here in lies the problem, gggs most ardent fan doesn't have any interest in seeing ggg fight quality opposition. He is completely satisfied watching ggg beat the crap out of no hopers and little guys. This is probably a good thing as it appears that's all ggg is ever going to fight anyway. 33 yrs old and not one quality opponent yet and no concrete plans to fight one.

P4P fights based on who's P4P rankings? There are as many P4P lists as there are boxing sites on the net. There is not one primary P4P list that everyone follows because P4P is the boxing equivalent of a fantasy football league. EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN LIST. In the big picture, P4P is MEANINGLESS.
