Comments Thread For: Loeffler Denies Tyson Fury's Claim on Klitschko Injury

Carson, California- In a span of a week, Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury made numerous headlines worldwide. First it was the Batman stunt by Fury at their press conference in London. Then only a few days later, Klitschko had to pull out of the fight with a calf injury. The fight slated for October 24th has now been rescheduled to November 28th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Fury should have worn a court jester's harlequin costume - cap and all. Either that or a dunce cap.

It's very much a Mayweather-Pacquiao situation. Had Wladimir entered with a legit injury and if something unexpected happened in the fight because of it being revealed afterwards, there'd be outrage. Better to have everyone come in 100%, even if it takes a while longer.

I can totally see why Fury thinks he's being messed about, though. 4 times (Haye 2x, Chisora, Wladimir) is a straight-up curse.

Klitschko knows he got "beat" in the press conference. I don't think he expected that much pandemonium, even from Tyson Fury. He seemed particularly rattled at times. As heated as it got, towards the end, Fury's demeanor is much more subdued and respectful as he calmly addresses Vlad and shakes his hand, perhaps suggesting that his outlandish behavior was all calculated and he can turn it on and off at will.
Fury had the psychological edge after the press conference and I can't help but think that feigning an injury was a ploy by Vlad to delay the fight in an attempt to regain some sort of psychological edge going in. As long as the fight actually happens, I don't really care so much. In this day and age we're lucky Klitschko is honoring his mandatory challenge at all.

lol,,,,youve got to be kidding me right? wlad hardly looked worried. he looked amused. hes had a plethora of title defenses and big mouths to deal with in the lead ups so this is nothing new for him. no surprise he got injured as hes nearly 40 yrs old now and carries a large frame. pretty silly to think hes postpone a fight purposely out of nerves or fear when hes faced far more dangerous opponents in his career
