It also says if Ward and HBO reach this 3 fight deal it puts Ward on the Canelo-Cotto undercard. That'd be a damn good night.

Both sides seem confident it will happen next year. I really, really hope it does. It is the best fight in the sport right now.

They're each others biggest threats. If Ward wins, I can see him being undefeated for a very long time.

Reading that ESPN article... I think it's very possible now.

Roc ain't gonna keep paying those high purses for him to be on BET television and HBO isn't going to let him fight on HBO if he doesn't fight who they want. This way, Ward and Roc get fights on HBO before fighting Kovalev on HBO, both getting what they want.

I dont' mind them getting in-between fights because they're dead set on making this a PPV and they're gonna need some steam building this up to PPV because this is not PPV right now at all. They could make it PPV, but buy rate will probably suck ass relative to the costs and nobody gonna be happy.

With that said, I think Ward might fight Sullivan Barrera at LHW (CW or full, either or) because he's with ME and he just lost out on his IBF eliminator. Also... Kovalev will most likely be vacating his IBF belt because
            1) if Duva doesn't get what she wants, she'll vacate
            2) GYM and Haymon will push IBF to do what they want even though they're usually loose with their rules. (Hernandez, Peterson, ECT)

So hopefully they can actually build up a fight right now because Duva has been doing ass in getting asses in seats for Kov. Take him Cali since this fight should be on the west Coast
