He def be the best at 154..
I would favor him over Lara, charo, canelo, kirkland, cotto
Vargas only lost to great fighters like Oscar and tito.. I think today the only guy that would beat him is Golovkin

I would favor him over any 154 pounder but Canelo. I would have Vargas vs Canelo as a dead even fight.

I think pre-Trinidad Vargas beats De La Hoya and Mosley.

Vargas destroys Canelo. It would be an awesome fire fight.

I think Lara, Canelo and GGG would be tough for him from 154-160. Other than that, he'd be at or near the top IMO.

He'd struggle against Lara and Cotto, just style-wise.

He would be the man at 154
Only guy I think He'd have trouble with is Demetrius Andrade and Lara because they are slick southpaws with decent power

Cotto would be a great fight but I think he'd stop Cotto late
He is naturally bigger, stonger, comparable skills with more power and he would take Cotto's shots better than the other way around
I feel you on Lara....he moves a lot and El feroz has to be set most times even though he is pretty versatile on offense

Vargas vs Cotto would be fooking EPIC. The build up would be crazy.
