Yes he does, but he's also tweaked it some. He does it better than most.

I wish people would learn what he is doing. Those punches are landing with 1/4 of the power or missing because he uses his defense to blunt them.

By blunting the punches like he does, he is not moving all wildly, meaning he is balances and able to deliver power blows.

And his balance is really good, like when he switches stance after throwing power shots.

Canelo has good record, but he is fighting guys 15 pounds lighter than him. Not that impressive. Cotto has a storied career, but he has been ducking GGG and is a MW champ whose never fought at 160.

Ward, he is a dirty trickster. He also drains himself to fight SMW, and doesn't have the power to knock GGG out. He will try to win by holding.

Besides, most don't have a clue what GGG is actually doing in the ring.what looks like is bring landed on him is actually no so clean, and designed to be that way.

I'm a huge fan but the truth is we have no idea how good he is until he fights the guys in his division that have not got in the ring with him. Some of those are network or promoter issues. But he is being avoided.

Now I watched all of the guys in your list(except LaMotta) and as of right now it can't be said he is better than any of them.(In my opinion he very well could be, time will tell)

It amazes me how people associate the words uttered by other people as if they had come out of this kids mouth. I've yet to hear this dude call himself pound for pound anything, king of anything, best anything, or for that matter bad mouth an opponent. People dislike the fanbase so they automatically hate the fighter.
