The problem is that to you 150-200k would be good numbers. That is the issue with the bet. I said okay, i'll take your 200k bet, avatar for a month. You're talking about 1 year bans now. Moving the goal post. If you want points, i'll give you points for free, idc about points. Let's be reasonable. You guys say GGG is so popular and all that, under 300k would suck.Comment

I did already. 200K is a successful first PPV. It will not lose money and will turn a profit. I would be more than happy to start a poll thread asking members what they would consider to be a successful number for a first PPV and accept that as the number for a bet if you wish.Comment

This is Golovkin's first PPV appearance. He is the headliner. He does not have the advantage of fighting against a Mayweather or a Pacquaio to bring in the numbers. He is not Mexican or Puerto Rican or American and does not have a built in fan base to draw from.
If he pulls 200k I would consider it to be a moderate success. Under 150k, I would consider it to be a bomb. 250k or more I would consider to be huge numbers.
The real numbers to watch will be when the winner of this fight meets the winner of Cotto - Canelo. IF that fight actually happens. That is when we will see if we have a real PPV star or not.Comment
