What's with all the 'nuthugger' crap?

Why if someone on here professes to liking a certain fighter are they immediately labelled a 'nuthugger'. We are ALL boxing fans, and as such we will naturally admire certain boxers. This is because boxers ARE boxing. If someone supports Manchester United, the New York Nicks or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers they're not called nut huggers, they're fans. Why can't we be fans of certain fighters without being ridiculed for it. It's ridiculous.

It's not so much the nuthuggers that are the problem because it is understandable that some fans will admire one boxer over another and root for him, support, and have faith in him againts any foe.

The problem is the haters. Those are the true nuthuggers in disguise. They find any reason to hate and discredit a fighter to feel good about his/her own insecurities. They accuse people of being nuthuggers and assume this n' that just to draw away the attention from the real situation: that they are ****in playa hatin bitches.

I admit to sometimes nut hugging gatti-always have. Lacy, im a borderline nuthugger. Pac, large fan, not a nut hugger tho. Most other ppl i root for, its either b/c i have a bet on them, or cuz im an actual fan of them

I think the difference between being a nuthugger and a fan is this; a nuthugger resorts to being vulgar and offensive everytime someone criticizes their favorite fighter even if its constructive criticism. A fan doesnt do that, a fan admires a fighter and hopes that fighter wins every fight and achieves greatness i think i fit into that category... with Pacquiao, who is my favorite fighter, I know he isnt invincible but at this point he's at his peak and i think that he can beat anyone if he comes in with his A game. I think when all is said and done Pacquiao can achieve the kind of greatness and legendary status that Morales and Barrera both have already.
