Comments Thread For: Jamie McDonnell Training Tough For Parodi Clash

After delivering a pair of epic performances from Jamie McDonnell this year, Dave Coldwell’s current focus shifts to another member of the McDonnell family as Gavin goes for continental glory on October 24th against Frenchman, Jeremy Parodi. Providing chief support to Kell Brook’s world title defence against Diego Chaves in Sheffield, McDonnell has a huge opportunity to impress in front of a massive attendance and Coldwell is busy placing the finishing touches to his charge to ensure his path to EBU glory culminates in glory. So, it's Gavin McDonnell who is fighting Parodi, but it's his brother Jamie training hard for it. Damn!! Parodi got the McDonnell family shook.

              loool

I haven't seen much of Gav but from what I've seen, he is ok. A bit of a boring style like his brother but educated boxers both.

Neither have I, at all, but really like Jamie.

What's weird is that he doesn't even watch boxing and was asking his promoter of the time Dennis Hobson if Ray Leonard was any good in his time after a chance meeting in America lol.

                  whaaaat?

I understand not watching boxing, I've come across quite a few fighters who don't follow the sport but to not know about Leonard? Most average sports fans do.
