Comments Thread For: Gavin's Foot Injury Pushes Eggington Fight Into 2016

Matchroom confirmed that Birmingham’s Frankie Gavin (22-2, 13 early) has had to withdraw from his October 17 local derby showdown with British and Commonwealth welterweight champion Sam Eggington (16-2, 9 KOs) due to a foot injury. Gavin revealed that he was run over a fortnight ago when tweeting about the injury and posting a photo of his badly bruised foot.

The injury coupled with the impact on his training schedule has left the 30-year-old with no choice but to pull out of the eagerly-awaited domestic showdown, leaving Eggington, 21, in need of a new opponent for the Birmingham Barclaycard Arena showcase. [Click Here To Read More]
