it is an obvious fight to make, but it should have happened already. if i had been in charge of wilder, his two voluntary defences would have been thompson and jennings for the american audience, and then give povetkin the fight that he deserves. this route would have not only made more money but it also would have satisfied more fans

also, i guess i can't be mad at jennings for turning down ortiz if he had a shot at wilder waiting for him

      • If Wilder eye wasn't busted up I'd see what he is saying but however it was swollen up a good bit, we all just want to see this fight happen fight Povetkin in early or late January nothing stopping it happening and its not that long of a wait smh....

Do you think the promoters of Povetkin will do anything to get this fight with Wilder brought over to Russia?

Shame if this great fight gets postponed.

Of course! Look at what they did with Klitschko.

Also he's brought plenty of good names to Russia in the past.

Also it makes sense for Wilder, because he'll get a buck load of money.

Does anyone know how big Povetkin is in Russia?

I'd assume Povetkin is probably a few tiers under Fedor Emelianenko but If he got that world title that could change a bit however he had the president at ring side he's gotta be pretty damn big tbh.

I hope it goes to Russia tbh, I like not having to stay up to 4am lol.

                    • Wilder definitely trying to get rounds in before Potvekin. I don't like Wilder not even thinking of unifying at all... but I feel he beats Potvekin
