When they announced him and Lucas they said the fight was being promoted by tr and gb. We know Lucas is with GBP so tr must now be postol's promoter. I'm assuming this based on how they announced the fight and his statements in this article.
On another note: people criticize haymon and pbc and say haymon is the one preventing fights etc ..but to me it looks like it's hbo tr and GBP. Haymon is working with just about every network that matters And every promoter but hbo won't work with him and tr and GBP are suing him. Also it looks like every top tr and GBP fighter is exclusive to hbo with no wiggle room or option. But Haymon is the problem? I think Haymon would put his fighters on hbo to make a big fight if hbo would allow it . but hey what do I know I'm just your avg Joe dedicated fan of the sport and that's big business.

Don't have a HBO exclusive contract, at least that I know of, and purse bids about to affect the Imam fight.

its not about HBO, its about TR. Postol is TR fighter and Tr has good relationship with HBO for decades.All TR fighters are on HBO.If Arum would let his world champ fight on Showtime this could damage their relationship with HBO for the future.And Arum doesnt want it.

I'll take quillen saying he wanted to spend time with his dying uncle before he past and birth of his child over why he vacated over y'all internet gibberish now if he would of vacated and took a different fight then yes can say haymon forced made him but he didn't and postol not exclusive to tr and imam his mando which more then likely going to purse bid so it's either going be on showtime or pbc

With the way Broner fights all compact relying on the speed of his hands to create pop...not a good fight for Broner. You are going to have to be a loose fighter with real pop to beat this guy. I think Crawford is a better fight than Broner, unless the idea is to see Broner eat jabs all 12 rounds. He also wouldn't be able to use that wide stance to pull himself out of danger.

Did Postol sign a deal with HBO or something his fight before the Lucas fight was on NBC so I don't see why there would be a network conflict.

I'm sure they had options on him for this fight, considering what he got paid for the match up. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he won that fight that the contract carrot is what was used to get him to accept 90k, 1/6th of what his opponent got.

Haymon forced him,because Roc Nation won the purse bid and haymon doesnt wan to deal wtih Roc nation. Time with family or his uncle was an excuse for his fans it not to look like a duck.
