    Archie Moore. any Bain damage.

He had quite a few fights, well over a hundered yet I do not recall him showing any brain damage... .......Was his speech slurred at all. Anyone know for sure, during his career he scored 169 knockouts, that's alot of ko's...... .. He once knocked down R ocky Marciano..........

    Archie Moore

I met Archie Moore in 97 or '98. His speech was not slurred at all and his mind and eyes were sharp. I didn't talk to him long and he didn't seem to want to be involved in a coversation. so I got an autograph, had a line or two of general conversation and thanked him and left him alone. There was no stagger to his gait either, he was still steady.

From what I know, he showed no ill effects of his boxing career.

But also Moore is one of the most dominate Light Heavyweights of all time. So he didn't take much punishment.

Archie Moore was a friend of mine... we talked in person and especially on the phone many times and I also have many handweritten and typed letters from him. He was DEFINITELY not affected in a negative from boxing.
