Comments Thread For: Postol: I'm Ready For Crawford, is He Ready To Fight Me?

It's a whole different world for Viktor Postol (28-0, 12KOs) who on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, upset the apple cart by scoring a tenth-round stoppage of Lucas Matthysse for the vacant WBC super lightweight title.

'The Iceman' from Ukraine said through his manager Vadim Kornilov at the post-fight press conference - "My emotions are overfilling me right now, I'm very happy. This has been a dream all my life. Seven years as a pro now I'm a world champion an I can't believe it. I feel like I'm still a young fighter, I'm feel like I'm ready to go. I feel like this is only the beginning. I'm ready to unify titles, fight the best. This is a new start for me.

In b4 all the Pac fans and gullible groupies hop on the "Crawford is ducking Postol" bandwagon. Even though they're supposed "hate" fighters that have Postol's style.

But seriously this is the fight to make at 140 right now. I hope it happens soon and doesn't get destroyed from a classic Bob Arum marination.

Sounded like HBO wants this fight - or maybe it was just an excuse to mentioned Crawford's name but they did a good job of making the logical connection for fans. Both are ready, make it happen

Arum will not make that fight anytime soon. Crawford will chew him up. With Mattesye loss, Arum and Oscar will agree to match Mattesye with Crawford first.
