    Postol Win Not Shocking

only shocking to guys who don know crap about boxing PERIOD. it shows people really don't know crap on this site it's a cesspool of nothing but ****pulling fanboys. Did anybody analyzes this fight and the style match up and watch any of Postol fights. This fight reminds me of Salvador Sanchez vs Patrick Ford or Duran vs Tommy were the reach and height was giving each shorter fighter problems with Salvador Sanchez being the only one to over come this problem

What's shocking is that he stopped Lucas. I saw this as a 50-50 fight, but never would I have imagined Postol winning by KO.

I called Postol winning this since the announcement but acting as if the KO wasn't surprising is pure bs. Even those who called that didn't believe it, they were just trashing Matthysse. Also, coming on here and heckling is as bad as those who spouted "Postol doesn't make it past the 6th round" and such.

why don't you show your fight breakdown before it took place proving you were 100% right all along....

I'm a big fan of Lucas and even I said I was worried for him in this one in the fight prediction thread. I certainly didn't expect him to quit. If anything I thought he may lose wide on the cards. The actual result was shocking to me considering Postol has such few knockouts. I think Lucas is done.

i thought postol would win the fight. i didn't expect him to make matthysse quit.

i tend to agree with you about the average NSBer being unfit to handicap a boxing match.

it takes years to have a good grasp of what a close prospective fight is going to look like. postol was close to half a foot taller than matthysse. we have seen that he has the movement to trouble matthysse, and the power to hurt a matthysse who doesn't look like he's got the iron chin he had in his prime.

this fight was a combination of a style that was all wrong for matthysse, a fresh fighter being on the way up, and matthysse being on the way down. once we knew that postol could take matthysse's gas and weather a storm it was over.

the question mark was really the chin of postol. if he could take the gas, every other aspect of the fight favored him.

postol is a very good fighter. he's going to join the list of fighters that nobody wants to fight. danny / al haymon straight up paid him step aside money. now you know why! it's even coming out that crawford has avoided him.

it's now up to fans to demand that postol get put in there with these bigger names. with the lines between pbc, hbo, and showtime, you're going to start to see these "house fighters" [postol and crawford are getting an hbo push, for example,] fighting each other.

postol vs crawford is now one of the better prospective fights in boxing. it's still behind kovalev - ward at 175 doe.

I don't need to prove anything to anyone what do you want my brothers phone so he can tell you what I told him about Postol wining by ko. Hell it became clear as day after the first 2 rounds it was a mismatch even Roy Jones Jr could see the writing on the wall . seems I hit a nerve with you

no need for all of that ..it just way too common that everyone seems to be an expert about boxing "AFTER " a fight esp in an upset...
