How is Broner allowed to keep that beard for fights?

    How is Broner allowed to keep that beard for fights?

    That bushy beard he has, it must lessen the impact on his chin from the punch and protect his lower face overall. They don't even allow extra Vaseline/other petroleum jelly on faces. I'm surprised that they didn't require him to shave the beard.

      Khabib couldn't do anything, looked slow and rusty plus Broner looked massive in comparison to him. They stopped the fight in the 12th with like 30 seconds to go or something just to give Broner a TKO win. Khabib could have easily made it to the final bell. He calls out Theopane after the fight and says he'll turn him into Bruce Jennar or something along those lines. You didn't miss much.

          Is it scientificly proven a beard protects the chin? Is it against the rules? Or are you just asumming?

            The same way his opponent got to keep his beard or did you only see Broners??

              I was thinking something similar, until the camera showed the other guy.

              Battle of the beards. That is what I thought.
