    Postol Took Matthysse's Soul

I am really impressed. He is not as chinny and featherfisted like many of us have thought and now I understand where his power comes from:

He throws single punches in early rounds, but when Viktor figures you out, he starts to put some weight behind punches and throws sharp, precise combinations. Thats the type of counterpuncher I really like.

Postol probably the first guy who beat Matthysse fair and square (even without KO I gave Lucas only three rounds - 1,2 and 6) and I was shocked seeing Matthysse quit, but no wonder there, Viktor like a surgeon, sistematically dismantled him and broke him mentally by outboxing him and physically by landing hard combos in later rounds.

What do you think about Matthysse's mental state? The post fight interview with him was very strange...

No, he's fought well since then, against Provodnikov.

        Postol fought an excellent fight.

Roy jones was also excellent..I just watched the replay and Roy alluded to his belief that pistol would knock matthysse out several times, even early in the fight.

See how he comes back before pulling the ****** "took his soul" phrase. Fact is, he hit a brick wall against a smarter fighter. It happens. At least he wasn't fighting a can like the last ggg and kkk fights. I predicted he would lose but at least he had the sack to fight real competition.

You entirely missed what Freedom was saying. It was a comment to his mental state, which was fine when he intelligently tackled Provo. Danny obviously didn't ruin him.

Can't take nothing away from Postol. Lucas was the clear favourite and most expected him to win. Definitely a top win from Postol - I look forward to seeing him against the other top 140s. Maybe a Broner or Crawford fight would be nice.

the ****** "took his soul" phrase is completely adequate after this outcome. Matthysse quit, which nobody has predicted and listen to his post fight interview. Lucas was a sore loser, he said Kellerman, that Postol is not one of the best fighters at 140 and he lost just because he had an off night. This is not typical Lucas Matthysse...
