This might sound a little strange but anyway ..... I have had a recurring vision of Golovkin rapidly staggering backwards in an almost sit-down posture, trying to stay on his feet but unable to do so, with a shocked expression on his face. What happens next is not clear.

GGG has one of the worst defenses of an elite level guy in boxing right now so I'm not gonna be shocked when he gets KO'd. Its gonna happen. I'd be surprised if GGG doesn't get KO'd sooner or later. Now if it happens in this next fight or 3 years from now who f#cking knows. I definitely think Lemieux has the power to hurt GGG & as mentioned I think GGG has a lacking defense that has him open to being hit, but I have serious doubts Lemieux has the talent to get into a position to hurt GGG or withstand the onslaught GGG will bring to be able to mount his own offense to the degree needed to KO GGG.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any elite fighters who are as aggressive as GGG at this point in time. He is a pressure fighter counter puncher and considering how much pressure he puts on it's not surprising he ships punches as he comes in - that said he deflects a lot of those punches as well.
I'm wondering if he comes in slightly less aggressive in this fight, tricks Lemieux to go towards him and then counters.

He has "No Chance." It takes some foresight and ability to distance from the "herd mentality" to get a true take, at times.

The thing I disagree with the most is that Lemieux is a limited slugger who has zero skills and that there is a huge gap between his boxing abilities and GGG's. I'm not seeing that. Lemieux does have good boxing skills. He has a good jab and the ability to throw different punches from angles. He's light on his feet.

I like GGG and all, but this is fight is much more even than that. People can say Rubio is just talking noise, but he did weather the storm against Lemieux far better than he did against GGG. This is a good fight that won't be an early stoppage for GGG or total domination.

My biggest concern is how well Lemieux takes the body shot. I don't think he'll crumble but he has something to prove.

One thing I always do, is make a decision on what I see and not on what I read posters say. So, I'll go with what I see and not what you and others say.
Makes sense! I dont think Lemieux beats GGG but he has a Punchers-Chance and is the best Opponent for GGG yet. hes fast and verry powerfull. GGG has never fought anyone with that Kind of power+speed yet. Yes, some opponents were fast but they did not have the power of Lemieux. Lemieux chin is not bad either, it was just that he exhausted himself and Rubio finished him off. Against Hassan he was powerfull the whole fight though. He HAS improved.
People Need to study the fighters more, not just look at the results.

This is the most intriguing thing to me about the fight. Can GGG take the power of LeMule? It is absolutely without question that LeMule is the hardest hitting opponent that GGG has ever faced. In past fights, it is like GGG has some iron chin and just laughs when hit but I can't imagine that he will be able to take a flush left LeMule kick to the jaw and not be phased, no way.

In this case it does, foot work is the very foundation of GGGs efficiency. But to be clear: I like Lemieux and I hope he can really push GGG. Problem is DL loads up a lot so Golovkin will see the shots coming. But itīs two big punchers so I guess anything can happen.

If Curtis Stevens had the style of Amir Khan, Lara, or Bradley, moving around the ring with footwork, he would've beat GGG. Instead, he choose to stay in the pocket and go for a KO. I guess Stevens might not fancy, as other state, ''running,'' but they're confined in a ring for a reason. Use space to your advantage. There were some shots where Stevens literally rocked GGG half way the ring, starting from Curtis' rope a dope.

ppl who think lemieux has 0% chance have no clue about boxing. anything can happen especially if ur opponent has huge punching power also.

lemieux has: youth, size, power, and speed

people look back to lemieux's early losses but he was very young and GREEN. now he is more mature and learned a lot.
