Of course, I will. I truly like both fighters and in fact really admire GGG`s class and humility. But Lemieux has simply grown into a beast, a smaller Tyson of sort who simply won`t be denied. GGG is more technically sound and experienced. But how many such skillful fighters had Tyson decapitated in his career? This GGG-Lemieux fight somewhat reminds me of Tyson vs Spinks... Tyson being Lemieux and Spinks being GGG. Spinks was a gold medalist, very skillful, technically sound fighter who couldn`t take the brutal fury of Tyson. I see a similar repeat of this scenario in 2 weeks. GGG is a smaller MW than Lemieux, he is not as fast and he does not punch as hard. Nobody mentions it - with the exception of Oscar and Bernard - but Lemieux equally fast and powerful. In fact, he was even quicker than Guerrero (who is a puny but agile fighter). Personally, I always thought GGG was accurate in his punch but sluggish... and his foot movement (even though better than Lemieux) is nothing like N'Dam who is a gazelle (but was still dropped 5 times by Lemieux - the ref only counted 4). I just can't see GGG escaping Lemieux' onslaught... unless he truly has a granite chin and, himself, undoes Lemieux in the process... which is a possibility.

Strange, how we see things so diametrically opposed... Please don`t bring again this Curtis Stevens journeyman type fighter - who could not even beat Rosado - in the picture. N'Dam himself - who Lemieux destroyed - totally outboxed and even dropped this talent deprived muscleman. When I heard Abel Sanchez mentioning that GGG had fought a harder puncher then Lemieux in Stevens, I told myself that half the fight was already won for Lemieux. Contrary to what you think - and a legend and boxing expert like Hopkins agrees with me - I just don`t see how GGG will succeed in pressuring Lemieux as he does to other boxers. But I clearly see Lemieux cracking this guy all night.Comment

The fact that GGG has 400 amateur fights is not conclusive... I remember the Hilton brothers in Canada who were very decorated fighters with practically no defeats in the amateur ranks... Two of those brothers, Dave and Matthew became world champions... and then got cracked by someone who could care less about their amateur background. To fight with a head gear in the amateur against teenage power punchers is one thing... to get hit square in the face by Lemieux on October 17 is quite another... Quite frankly, my only concern about Lemieux losing this fight is for him to fade in the last 2 rounds and get caught by GGG... The commentaries about Lemieux simply don`t match even Golovkin`s own admitted fear about facing the Canadian slugger. everything I hear is that Lemieux is a white version of Stevens who will be a mere sparring partner for GGG. After GGG gets beaten, the same folks will say that GGG got exposed... as Ali got exposed against Frazier or Norton... Sure... At least, be fair...Comment

Experience only goes so far... Experienced boxers have been upset by young rising stars throughout boxing history... Experience is a factor, sure. An important one. But by no means the most crucial one. Speed, raw power, fearlessness, warrior mentality - which, for instance, Monroe absolutely did not possess - are greater attributes if intelligently utilized... How about timing, which GGG intends to use against Lemieux? Yes, the Canadian is susceptible to uppercuts and often times swings wild... Will GGG capitalize on this? Most people think so... I don`t... Once GGG gets rocked, and realizes he has a tiger in front of him, he will become extremely hesitant, tentative...Comment

GGG wins this fight because, he is the better fighter
First off, of course Hopkins and De Las Hoya agree with you, they are Goldenboy. What are they going to say, my guy is gonna lose, and bad.
GGG wins this fight because:
GGG wins this fight because he has a better CHIN.
GGG has a better JAB.
GGG has the ability to cover the ring well, to cut off the opponent.
GGG is able to use his jab to take his opponents power away by making their shots hit his gloves first.
GGG has more experience, and that matters.
GGG is the more active of the two.
GGG hits harder than Lemieux.
GGG is just by far the better boxer.
GGG has the better defense of the two, although most seem unable to see how an aggressive fighter has to defend.
GGG does subtle shifts, movements, defensive jab, etc.
Lemieux swings too wide.
Lemieux gasses out in second half of fight, where GGG can knock him out any round.
Lemieux did not look that great in any of his bigger fights.
N'Dam is known for getting dropped, but Lemieux could not finish him, and in fact looked very weak the second half of that fight. N'dam actually started to bring the fight to him. And he hurt Lemieux in the 12th round.Of course, I will. I truly like both fighters and in fact really admire GGG`s class and humility. But Lemieux has simply grown into a beast, a smaller Tyson of sort who simply won`t be denied. GGG is more technically sound and experienced. GGG has faced fighters with more skill than Lemieux, and fighters than punch hard.
You dont think Stevens did, but he was a LHW, then SMW, then MW. Which you didn't know.

GGG has shown the ability to knock guys out no matter what round, and no way N'Dam makes it past round five with GGG. Especially after landing those punches.
Are you serious" Cutis Steven and Lemieux actually remind me of each other in a lot of ways. Both talk too much. Both throw hard, but predictable punches.Strange, how we see things so diametrically opposed... Please don`t bring again this Curtis Stevens journeyman type fighter - who could not even beat Rosado - in the picture. Lemieux, isn't the kind of puncher that you make him out to be, he throws really wide.
Big differences is Lemieux has been knocked out before. GGG has never hit the canvas or been professionally stunned.
Hopkins is with Goldenboy, of course he says that.Strange, how we see things so diametrically opposed... And GGG isnt always a pressure fighter strictly, but he is known to punish those who come forward and swing wide.
He is by far the better fighter, no doubt about it. Lemieux will need a lucky punch to win this fight.
If they fought 6 times, GGG wins 5 hands down, and probably all 6.
GGG wins for the reasons I said. The fact that GGG has 400 amateur fights is not conclusive... Experience alone does not make a better fighter, but when
Experience is combined with a superior jab, power, boxing skill, chin, etc. It just starts to add up.
if You are dead set on Lemieux winning, you're very likely going to be very let down.
Because he does not have a great chance.
Then again, no one in the MW division does have a good chance against GGG.

Keep dreamin' buddyWhich would be a fair call based on face value GGG should not have any trouble with this guy if he does he is a fake or David slipped under the radar which would be revealed over time and a few more fights .
This is a guy the hype junkies in here was saying is the best MW of all time , dont forget the hype thats on Gennady if David does take him out .Comment
