Comments Thread For: Team Postol Warn Matthysse: 'Revenge for Provodnikov'

For manager Vadim Kornilov, Saturday night is personal.

In April of this year in Verona, New York - Kornilov's fighter Ruslan 'Siberian Rocky' Provodnikov faced Lucas "La Máquina" Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs) in a very anticipated fight. It lived up to the hype with fireworks and big punches flying from both fighters. After twelve rounds, Provodnikov lost a twelve round majority decision.

It's boxing , each fights for himself only . Provodnikov needs no protectors , plus he's better than postol

So because mattyse decided to use a bit of savvy and not get into a phone booth war with provodnikov and actually box abit..there angry because of that....lol....mattyse seriously battered him from box fighting him and some of the punches he landed could have dropped an elephant.....postol could bring a shock win because he has height and reach and can box from a distance......that's there best plan of winning......shouldn't blame mattyse if he uses not only brawling but inteligent brawling.......if postol boxes and uses what he has he can win

Avoid the high drama lol? Lucas outboxed and beat the living **** out of Provo. It amazes me how nowadays unless you stand and trade bombs you "run" or you "don't fight". Its so absurd. Go watch garbage MMA for that bs. Or toughman contests. Lucas is probably going to lullabye Postol so I hope he has medical insurance.

All Postol have to do is BOX! That is the blueprint to beating Matthysse. Stay outside use that huge reach advantage and just let him walk into jabs and counters all night. Going Toe To Toe with Matthysse is not how you beat him

Anyone want to fill me in on how good Postol actually is?
I like myself an underdog in a fight.

No of course not, I don't think Postol can avoid Matthysse power for all 12 Rounds. He will land big and how Postol takes it will determine everything

Can't wait for this fight. I don't think Postol well see the 10th round and his going to be a bit shocked when he realises that Lucas is more than just a big puncher. Soto fight should also be entertaining

I think Floyd tried to get some get back for Broner, maidana 1, but it was not convincing,

Rematch, with bayless, allowed him the ability to slip away from danger easily.
