Comments Thread For: Hryunov To Broner: This is Your Home, Why No Sellout?

Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov, who guides Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs), ribbed their Saturday rival, Adrien Broner, with his inability to bring in a sellout crowd at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Former three-division world champion Broner (30-2, 22 KOs) is looking for a signature win in his hometown as he battled Khabib for the vacant WBA Super Lightweight world title, live on Showtime (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT).

That's a lethal jab. Didn't know Broner wasn't even a star in his hometown. Hope he's worrying about the fight more than his popularity.

I guess Broner is having a better season than the Reds, for what that's worth lol

If this guy preforms like he did against Jessie Vargas then he may give Borner a run for him money.

Interesting fact : Bengals have less losses this year than Adrien Broner.

Why can't one do both? I am. And between me and my ole lady, it was about $200. Fight tix are good. Bengals tix are nosebleeds. But its a relatively inexpensive weekend.

I say to say AB has fallen off. Being brash, ****y, and a villain is cool. But you have to back it up with performance. And he hasn't done that.

The Russian promoter was basically pissed at Broner's ****y attitude, joining the presscon late even though he's seen around the area. "So he thinks he's a star. Why then are tickets not selling, especially in his home town?"
