    BS Byrd Interview

....I just watched the interview with Chris Byrd that is on the main page here at the scene. Damn good stuff. For anyone who hasn't seen it I would suggest checking it out. I am not a Chris Byrd fan by any stretch but that was a great candid interview. I came away thinking that he is smart, honest, down to earth guy more so than I thought.

Two things of interest really struck me. One is that he says that he is unconcerned about not having a promoter and he has no real plan for the fights after Wladimir. That tells me that he isn't really looking at much after this fight. I do get the impression that he may be cashing in his chips. He will come to fight and give it his all but I have a feeling he is resigned to the fact that he is in for a long night. Secondly, he says that he wants to mix it up a bit. I believe him when he says that and I see him going out on his shield in his last fight and actually winning a few more fans in the process. I have a funny feeling he is going to brawl with Wlad and make the fight alot more interesting than most people think.

I really enjoyed that interview. If not for CITA, I would have long been a fan of Chris Byrd. (joke).

Most posters on here judge boxers WAY to quickly, I knew Chris was a good guy and a good fighter yet most of u all disrespected him, its good to have an interview like this for the idiots who judged him before they knew him or anything about him.
