Lucas Matthysse needs little incentive to jump in the ring with anyone. The opposite is true, as the free-swinging Argentine slugger usually has to go hunting for willing opposition.

Still, there is plenty to be gained from this weekend's clash with unbeaten Viktor Postol. The two collide for a vacant super lightweight title in an HBO-televised headliner live from StubHub Center in Carson, California.

It's the most significant fight for Matthysse (34-3, 30KOs) since coming up short in his World super lightweight championship contest with Danny Garcia just over two years ago.

Lucas has to get by Postol first and that will be no easy task.

I have going with Postol from the beginning. Now I really want him to win just to see if Arum would match Manny in with a JWW moving up coming off a loss again.

Sounds like a done deal pending the Postol outcome.

It's obvious Oscar and Arum rather work with each other then Khan/Haymon. Which is fine. Let Khan fight Thurman, Garcia, or Maidana then get wrecked again.

Good fight. Matthysse deserves a shot at the top. I hope he does get the fight. First things first, Postol.

Khan is no longer being advised by Haymon. His dad manages him now. Only way he gets Pac fight is by signing one of those never ending contracts with Top Rank. Arum will use Mattyesse option as leverage to get Khan to sign.
