LOS ANGELES - Just days ahead of his October 3 battle against Viktor "The Iceman" Postol (27-0, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBC World Super Lightweight Championship, Lucas "La Máquina" Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs) hosted a Los Angeles media workout at The Rock Gym in Carson, Calif. on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Lucas can close the distance pretty well, I don't think looking at the Aydin fight is really a good idea in terms of gauging how this fight goes

Postol also seems kinda off-balance at times in his movements, which could lead to some flash knockdowns

One thing I noticed in the Provodnikov fight that should worry Lucas' trainers is that he was repeatedly having his jab countered in the last few rounds, he wasn't varying the speed and wasn't picking up the fact that he was being countered with right hands

That could largely be due to the fact that he was fighting Provo and was thinking too much, I don't think he's going into this fight scared or cautious at all
