Floyd's bouts vs Chino & Pac comparison: MD vs UD

Anybody want to disagree that Chino's first balls-out attempt vs Floyd has more legitimacy for a MD over Pac's UD? Rather, who showed more performance enhancement knowing it was Floyd?

Of course in the 2nd bout, Chino was less impressive...which could be debatable. I must say however, Chino's massive bomb to Floyd's face had him stunned on the corner up until the point he looked downward at his stool...Floyd got rocked! But ate it like a pimp.

Now forget ''theory'' let's bring in the stats!

    Chino MD:
    221/858 Tota 26%l
    36/318 Jabs 11%
    185/540 Power 34%

    Pac UD:
    81/429 Total 19%
    18/193 Jabs 9%
    63/236 Power 27%

First off, anybody following Chino over the years knows that Robert Garcia had definitely talked some weird hulk approach gameplan, or rather, that's just what you see when Chino goes volume crazy! =P Nonetheless, fun to watch, dropping overhand left and rights at the ropes and occasional nut punching to convince judges!

That's not your classic Chino approach. Not the nut punching, no that's classic Chino, rather we saw this hulk style against Broner as well. Chino can be considered a slugger, but his accuracy in on point. Remembering against Khan...Chino caught him in the direction of Khan's footwork...

With all those circumstances in mind, now let's compare Pac's approach in which many said he won the fight.

    Wait...I'm sorry. I can't! Floyd's IV supersedes any of this! =P

That Maidana fight was a point either way, it's so close.

Pacquiao lost fair and square, can't argue about the points on this one.

The point for MD vs UD is very important and the punch stats. If anybody agrees with Chino winning, then in theory, it's impossible for Pac to have won if we're on a point system. However, Pac didn't have Toradol, and Floyd rehydrated. This is the buzz.

Completely different fights and tactics by both the challengers, and Floyd. In fact, I think chino's fight made Pac/Roach re-think the blitzkrieg mentality as even though Chino was far and away more active than Floyd, he still lost.

Chino's fight was probably a contributing factor for Pac's attempt to take a slower pace of countering Floyd's counters with short bursts and getting out (to prevent tie-ups where Floyd gets a bit dirty). Also, this tactic of Pac made Floyd even more cautious IMO. He could not lay on the ropes like he did with Chino, first few times he did, he took punishment for it and couldn't get anything off himself. Instead, he forced things into the middle of the ring where his size advantage could be capitalized on.

Not saying Pac won, just apples to oranges fights. One sought to rough Floyd up and overwhelm, the other tried to out-box him. I'll tell you one thing for sure, Floyd had far more respect and caution for Pac.

And the point is that against Broner and Floyd that was not your typical Chino. We see a different Chino. I've been following Chino for years. As we agree, that's not his style. Chino took his fights seriously, well perhapsnot the 2nd one once the purse saw the light, but I haven't seen any fighter eating as much in the post ring interview and afterwards. Chino literally drained himself out of energy. I think in one of the interviews an announcer literally put Chino's food down from the camera.

Plus MD vs UD is judge perspective.

I's have to watch both fights in slow motion while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon to know what really happened.

Madaina came close to beating Floyd, closer than Castillo in fight 1. I gave Madaina 5 rounds, but thought you could have easily given him a 6th. There was no way to find more than 4 or 5 rounds that Castillo won against Mayweather in their first fight no matter how hard you looked.

Yeah we get it. All the 46 opponents of Mayweather did much better than Pacquiao. Even the ones got knockout like Corrales.
