Peter Fury, uncle and trainer of top heavyweight contender Tyson Fury, is picking Manny Pacquiao to defeat Amir Khan - if a deal is finalized for the two former champions to face each other in a welterweight contest in early 2016.

Discussions are ongoing between Khan's team and Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank. The fight is going to take place either in February or April. HBO Pay-Per-View will be the distributer if the event comes together.

Peter knows his stuff and has always come across as knowledgeable and sensible in boxing terms and he doesn't seem far off here only thing to add is any one of the top welters Brook , Thurman ,Porter and Garcia (again) would do the job and that's the reason he's ducked all of these guy's in order to stay safe with guy's like Algieri.
Khan could give some of these guy's an entertaining run for their money but instead of earning it he instead leans to protecting his weak chin that's seems very suspect at this weight given the feather fisted Algieri had him going more than once.
Manny is all but finished and Khan let slip when he said Floyd waited for Manny to get old before fighting him , Khan is now in that queue but this is just the way the Khan's do it......I will be willing Manny to knock this fraud unconscious.

It's an excellent fight and I'm leaning towards Manny by close UD. A stoppage is plenty possible but Manny's power at 147 has never really been A+. Granted, Khan's chin is probably not as tough as those of fighters like Rios or Bradley, but Khan can still box well enough compared to Manny at this stage in his career to go the distance.

I totally agree. People under-estimate just how strong Manny is. At 140lbs, which he should be fighting at, NOBODY goes 12 with him. He is a pound 4 pound puncher for his size. If your chin isn't granite, he WILL hurt you!
